Gilling is a large 5 inch gauge model railway. (equivalent to about 1 inch to 1 foot). Running on the ground with some raised embankments an intensive, but railway - like service is maintained with very accurately modelled locomotives, coaches and wagons working through the central station between three marshalling yards.
Gilling is operated by the Ryedale Society of Model Engineers
